Privacy Policy

This Privacy Notice explains how the personal data I collect from you is processed and stored.  The Policy is regularly updated so you can be confident that when you share your details with me the information you have provided will only be used as described herein.

What data do I collect?

I collect the following data:

  • Personal identification information (name, address, email address, phone number)

  • Date of birth, occupation, emergency contact details, presenting issue.

How do I collect your data?

You directly provide me with most of the data I collect.  Data is collected and processed when you:

  • Submit an enquiry form via my website or from another source.

  • Complete my Client Assessment Form

  • Provide feedback on any of my message boards, through social media or via email.

  • Use or view my website via your browser’s cookies.

  • Information taken from the Online Questionnaire Assessment (information collected by SmartSurvey).

I may also receive your data indirectly from The Bach Centre.

How will I use your data?

I collect your data so that I can:

  • Manage your client records account.

  • Analyse the presenting issue for which you have consulted me and to recommend appropriate remedies.

  • Contact you to obtain updates and feedback following a consultation.

  • Contact you with information on other products and services that I think you might be interested in.

I will communicate with you by email, other digital methods, by telephone and by post.

With whom do I share your personal information?

I do NOT share your personal information unless you ask me to, and requests to do so will need to be in writing or by email.

How do I store your data?

Client personal identification information only (name, address, email address, phone number) are stored in a card index system.  Each client is allocated a personal reference number and this is attached to your case notes which are stored in a locked cabinet.  Case notes do not contain your personal identification information.  Case notes are also stored electronically in the same format and are password protected.  No personal identification information is stored electronically.  I take the necessary steps to protect your personal information against loss or theft, as well as unauthorised access, disclosure, copying, use, or modification.

How long do I keep your personal information?

I need to retain your information for as long as you continue to consult me.  Since clients often return for more consultations after a period of absence, I will keep your information for 7 years after your last consultation.  In the case of children, the requirement is until 7 years after their 18th Birthday.  At that point, the client notes and personal data is shredded, and digital information will be erased from my computer system.  Information collected via the SmartSurvey Online Questionnaire Assessment is erased from the SmartSurvey by myself when the information has been entered into my confidential client notes - see above "How do I store your data?"

How your information can be updated or corrected

To ensure that I have accurate and up-to-date information, you will need to inform me of any changes you believe I should make to the personal information I hold.  You can do this by contacting me by email or phone.

Under data protection legislation, you have the right to inspect the personal information I hold about you.  You can make a request to do so by contacting me and I will do my best to respond within 14 working days.

I would like to send you information about my services and the Bach Flower Remedies that I think you might be interested in.  You have the right at any time to stop me from contacting you for marketing purposes.  If you no longer wish to be contacted for marketing purposes, please let me know.
